Lauded West Australian outfit The Love Junkies are preparing for their debut appearance at international industry juggernaut South By Southwest in March, preceding their American sojourn with the premiere of the DIY clip for new single A Fool's Errand, proudly hosted by theMusic.com.au.
A Fool's Errand follows Television as another taste of recently released full-length Blowing On The Devil's Strumpet, a release that has garnered the kind of acclaim for the trio that has catapaulted them to several national tours, multiple appearances at Brisbane's annual BIGSOUND showcase, and now the big leap across the equator the granddaddy of industry events.
Before they set off for their odyssey, though, The Love Junkies will be playing a couple of farewell shows to send them off in style at the end of this month and early next; they hit Mojo's, in North Fremantle, on Saturday, 21 February, before saying goodbye proper the following weekend at The Astor Lounge on Sunday, 1 March. There's a special dual-gig ticket available that includes entry to both shows as well as a limited-edition recording of a previously unreleased song, with remaining copies being put up for (free) grabs at The Astor Lounge show — first in, best dressed.
