More The Jensens More The Jensens

Stalwart Brissy outfit The Jensens are ramping up towards the release of their new EP, Everybody Talks, in a number of weeks, preceding its debut by generously providing us with the premiere airing of their newest jam, Elvis Is Dead!

The track is the first taste for 2016 from The Jensens, who spent 2015 honing their live chops in support of UK indie faves The Vaccines, as well as alongside long-serving local crew Last Dinosaurs. This, in addition to earning some sweet, sweet airplay from triple j for their previous singles Fears and Shark Thunder as they continued the solidly upwards trajectory the group have enjoyed since first coming together in 2013.

The jangly, stomp-clap-worthy new cut is a rambunctious, fun-loving affair (despite the sombre title), resplendent with infectious hooks, danceable rhythms and back-up harmonies that beg to be attempted from the comfort of your listening post. In short, it's another accomplished slice of feelgood indie vibes that summarily highlights exactly why this band has been enjoying such consistent growth to their clout and notoriety.

Everybody Talks will make its way into the world on 11 March, available via Bandcamp, but you can enjoy hearing its songs in the flesh, too, when the band hit the road to launch the new release from Saturday 5 March, when they take to the stage at Maroochydore's Sol Bar. From there, they'll head to Sydney (Brighton Up Bar, Thursday 10 March; Visions Festival, Saturday 12 March) and Melbourne (Shebeen, Friday 18 March) before returning home to round out their east-coast jaunt at The Foundry on 26 March.
