Geelong-based indie-pop quintet The Evening Cast have just announced a run of tour shows in support of their new full-length, Belong, but before they let loose with the details, the band have kindly given The Music a premiere look at a gorgeous new a cappella version of their track Sth Coast.
The performance, which was filmed in a country town hall, stars members Joel Cooper and Rachel Cooper, and features guest vocals from Jess Kerr and Kate Lineker. The stripped-back version of their new song follows delightful forebear Gangs Of Fools, with both tracks appearing on the new album.
The Evening Cast will head off on their tour in support of the release from Saturday 2 July, when they kick off at Adelaide's World's End Bar; from there, they hit Torquay (venue TBA) on Sunday 10 July and round out at The Grace Darling, in Melbourne, on Friday 15 July.
Belong is out now on Catch Release Records.
Hear the original version of Sth Coast below and see the band's Facebook page for more information.
