Brissy multi-instrumentalist and producer Steve Tyssen has stepped out from behind Greenthief and King Of The North's drum kit to premiere a single from his second full-length, Love To Love.
Pouring It Out is our first taste of the album, which is said to be "a sarcasm-ridden ode to love and the modern relationship" with numerous vocal features from Jess Lean of The Brains Trust. The song itself is harmony-laden and theatrical, even boasting a sax solo from Dyon Tahana.
"I wanted the music to match the irony of the lyrics," explains Tyssen, "which is why the song starts off like a bubblegum-pop waltz and quickly descends into something that wouldn't be out of place in the soundtrack to a Tarantino film."
Love To Love will be released this July, with Tyssen playing some album launch shows in Brisbane and Melbourne on 29 July and 4 August respectively.
