PREMIERE: Skies - Speed Boy

Adelaide synth-pop trio Skies are firmly establishing themselves as an act to watch in 2016, following up two acclaimed self-produced singles — last year's Call For My Heart and Too Young — with brand new banger Speed Boy.

The Music is stoked to bring you the premiere airing of the latest cut from the ascendant southerners, for which the band enlisted producer extraordinaire Steven Schram (San Cisco, The Cat Empire, Paul Kelly). Listening to the song, it's swiftly apparent that the boys have clearly picked up a musical trick or two over the course of their activity-filled past 12 months, during which they've rubbed shoulders and shared stages with the likes of SAFIA, The Aston Shuffle, Peking Duk, Tkay Maidza, Meg Mac, The Kite String Tangle and more.

There's no indication that the momentum propelling these lads forward is likely to lessen any time soon; they even made it to BIGSOUND and their debut Sydney show last year, as well as being featured on a JD Future Legends line-up at home a couple of weeks ago alongside West Thebarton Brothel Party.

Give the track as many spins as you like above, and swing by the band's Facebook page to add yourself to their Like count while we keenly await the next batch of tasty synth-fuelled grooves to emerge from the Skies camp — or, indeed, a tour announcement detailing when and where we can get on board with all this goodness in the flesh.
