Sydney collective Silamor have dropped their powerful first single and video clip for 2017, Below The Neck, premiering here today on theMusic.com.au.
In a statement released from the band, the track "describes a time where words fly around in distracting abundance, yet perhaps what we are craving more than ever is meaningful action.
"It's a song that proposes we spend a little more time feeling, moving our limbs, trusting our gut, saying what we really mean, not through our mouths but with everything below the neck."
Under the guidance of choreographer Naomi Hibberd, local actress and dancer Phoebe Barnett stars in the clip and mimes her way through the song's verses, mouthing the words "blah, blah, blah" — a visual representation of actions speaking louder than words.
