Prepare yourself for all the feels and chills — New Zealand country-folk songwriter Mel Parsons is releasing her new album, Drylands, next week and is getting us amped for it with a brilliant new video for Don't Wait, a song featuring Canadian muso Ron Sexsmith.
The video is cut with tour footage, Parsons interacting with locals and some haunting imagery of a whole shed-full of people holding up a "don't wait" sign.
Parsons cold-called iconic songwriter Sexsmith to lend his vocals on the album, who happily obliged. The album also features backing vocals from acclaimed NZ singer Anika Moa, Irish cellist Vyvienne Long, ex-Waterboys bassist Trevor Hutchinson and New-York based kiwi Andrew Keoghan.
