More Lime Cordiale More Lime Cordiale

Ascendant Sydney-bred roots-pop outfit Lime Cordiale are capping off their year in a big way, with a run of shows in Queensland and New South Wales to celebrate the arrival of their brand new EP, Road To Paradise, premiering exclusively on theMusic.com.au today.

The EP was preceded by recent lead single Not That Easy, a summer jam perfectly suited to the stretch of long, hot days ahead; a fact reflected in the band's recent video release for the track, which pays special focus to the drought-afflicted towns and people of north Queensland. The band had travelled to the region to perform a series of shows in support of the Western Queensland Drought Appeal, during which they connected with the area's citizens and decided to highlight their plight even further through their clip.

Now, the band's attentions are solidly focused on their present run of shows in support of the new EP, with Lime Cordiale having warmed themselves up with a matinee and evening show in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago. From tomorrow night, 26 November, they get the tour under way proper with a performance at Canberra's Transit Bar, taking in shows in Wollongong (27 November), North Sydney (28 November), Brisbane (3 December), Byron Bay (4 December), Maroochydore (5 December), Gold Coast (6 December), Katoomba (11 December), Newcastle (12 December), and Sydney (19 December) on their way through to their ultimate showing of the run at Glenworth Valley's Lost Paradise Festival on Thursday 31 December.

With two separate tours of the United States to their name in the past 18 months, not to mention a series of sojourns in support of contemporaries such as The Delta Riggs, Ball Park Music, The Griswolds, Dispatch and Cosmo Jarvis, it's safe to say that Lime Cordiale are setting themselves up for a massive 2016, so better to get on board now before they're spending more time abroad than at home.
