Adelaide electro pop songstress Hunt (Madeleine Hunt to her fam) has a brand new track today to unveil — the second installment in her Empire project, said to be "a series about admitting defeat and exposing my faults".

Having recently supported The Preatures and ASTA, Hunt explains that Thought I Could is the second in her series and rotates around her "coming to terms with the fact I'm not always capable of everything I so confidently thought I was".

"This realisation came about when I decided to declutter my bedroom. I released [sic] how much stuff I had hoarded and how difficult it is for me to remove objects with sentimental value from my space.

"The series evolved from continually running into old friends. They always looked intimidatingly enthusiastic when asking me what I was doing with my life and my music… a question I really didn't know the answer to. I didn't even know where to begin.

"But reflecting now on the years gone by, anticipating the future, I can tell them I'm building my empire."

Thought I Could is an A+ showcase of Hunt's ethereal vocals, laid against a driving electro beat.
