PREMIERE: FeelsClub – ‘Broken’

A message of hope for those who might feel lost, Broken is the latest single from Brisbane indie pop outfit FeelsClub.

It’s the first new music the five-piece have delivered this year, and it’s worth the wait, with catchy verses, big choruses and hard-hitting lyrics backed by solid melodies.

FeelsClub approached the writing and recording of Broken in a way they hadn’t tackled before.

“We had a lot of trouble finding our feet in what we were told could be a single,” the band said.

“In the past, we hardly had a song under four minutes and we were being told, ‘Look for it to be radio viable it has to be around the 3:20 mark.’"

They were also told they had to remove the layered elements they’ve become known for and place more focus on raw lyrics and basic instrumentation.

“We had to mature and refine our art to make something that was actually going to do justice to what we wanted to share with people and be held with respect.  

“The song itself was born out of pushed desperation of just wanting to get something right and failing so many times.
