A New Jersey native who now calls Sydney home, Danielle Deckard is gearing up to drop the music video for her new song, I Lied, a track off her recently released EP, End Of The World.
Filmed in the cosy surrounds of Sydney creative hub Hibernian House, the delicate piano ballad is "about never fully getting over someone, and having these triggers that always remind you of them. It’s about hopelessly wondering, but never knowing if they still think about you too".
Deckard says about filming the video, "The video was filmed as a performance in Hibernian House in Sydney, and features me performing the song on keyboard, as well as a string quartet, bass and drums.
"Hibernian House is near and dear to me. I’ve performed there several times in the past year since I started playing in Sydney, and I even had my EP release show there. It’s this amazing warehouse space. The building is a bit run down, but the people who live in the spaces and work in the spaces are making some incredible art and creating a community in Sydney that’s really unique."
