Sydney trio Crystal Cities are steaming towards the arrival of their debut EP later this year, having just unveiled their third single from the release, Tell Me Now, and The Music is stoked to be premiering its accompanying video clip for the ascendant outfit today.
Shot entirely using an iPhone 6+, the clip captures candid moments from the band's time at Sydney's Church Street Studios, as well scenes and sights from around Sydney, Berlin and Los Angeles. The video is largely presented in black-and-white, giving its sole coloured shot — a sunrise over the city — an extra degree of power when it suddenly breaks from the monochromatic visuals about two-thirds of the way through.
Tell Me Now itself is an upbeat, danceable gem of an indie-rock ditty, showing the band's capability to let their hair down a little more than was evident on earlier singles Talking To Myself and Cut Me Loose — a fact not lost on the band, who acknowledge the song is "a little different" to their previous work.
