Melburnian muso Clive Luca is premiering his brand new video for Sonic Youth on theMusic.com.au, a rumbunctious song with an intriguingly theatrical video.
You'll pick up references to Sonic Youth (duh), Marlon Williams and being constantly on the road like a modern-day Jack Kerouac, with the video shaped around the huge Ford pick-up trucks people drove in the '30s and '40s.
Luca says of the video, "The genesis of the idea came from me peaking over a friend's back fence in Brunswick to discover a large backyard full of old rusted out trucks from the '30s and '40s with grass growing up through the cabins of some and others piled on top of each other.
"The yard looked like a work of art in itself and seemed like a great backdrop for a music video. The video was directed by Tom Busby and shot partially at that location and partially in a studio with an old 1956 Ford F100 truck as the centre piece."
