With their fifth studio album, Revelations, set to drop on 5 August, Brisbane rock'n'roll pirates Byron Short & The Sunset Junkies are gearing up for the hugely anticipated record with the release of the title track premiering on theMusic.com.au today.
Following their last critically acclaimed and Golden Guitar-nominated album, the band's new ten-track LP is one just as important to fans as it is the group.
"Revelations is an album about a fairly dark time in my life," Short said.
"But, ultimately it’s about casting out the darkness to find love, light and redemption.

"I may be a non-believer, but the good book sure as hell helped me deal with my demons one dark night. And now, I hope my songs can help other people build their own impenetrable fortresses of hope, healing and dare I say – happiness."
Byron Short & The Sunset Junkies will celebrate the new album with a launch show on the day of release at The Zoo, before they move on to play throughout Brisbane, Ipswich, Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Mackay, Rockhampton and Sunshine Coast.
They'll also be joined by some handy supports on select stops of the tour that includes Phil Barlow & The Wolf, Dana Gehrman, Ivey and more.
