Perth-bred surf-punk three-piece Axe Girl are presently a few dates into their five-week Beachin' tour of WA and Victoria, having already brought the fury to crowds in Brunswick, Warrnambool and Melbourne. Now, their eyes are focused on a return showing in Brunswick tomorrow night — but first, theMusic.com.au is stoked to be premiering the band's new clip for recent cut Beach (Take Off Your Clothes) today!
Taken from the band's well-received eponymous debut full-length, which graced our ears back in November last year, the track is yet another high-octane heart-starter from the fledgling outfit, who have already developed quite the reputation for their hectic live shows and intelligent brand of sand-dusted indie-popm despite only forming in 2012.
Their brief history has seen the outfit take on stages and audiences from the most average of pubs to the most extraordinary of festivals, as well as offering up their services as both a support and headline act on numerous tours.
Axe Girl's Beachin' tour still has about another four weeks or so ahead, with at least one further date — and, in some cases, multiple — scheduled for Frankston, Melbourne, Brunswick, Bendigo, Tarwin Lower, St Kilda, Scarborough and Fremantle, all of which will keep them busy through till early May, replete with weekly residencies at The Retreat and Cherry Bar.
