Power 50 - #41: Paul Sloan

#41: Paul Sloan, Billions, Director

With Falls setting up in WA for a second time in 2018, Billions’ Paul Sloan took on the title of Local Producer, helping curate a wide array of star-studded local talent and activating a wealth of Fremantle hotspots in the process.

This is on top of his duties for the acclaimed annual Wave Rock Weekender, which is entering its 13th run. Billions has been described as a “truly artist-centric” company - Sloan a long-time touring musician himself - a claim backed up by not only booking massive tours for the likes of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard (and aiding with their international endeavours) and their accompanying Gizzfest, but focusing on emerging and local acts, recently assisting in Jess Ribeiro’s SXSW plans and also working closely with The Murlocs and others over the past 12 months.

Billions picked up Best Australian Contemporary Concert at 2017 Helpmann Awards for their work on Nick Cave’s tour and scored a Best International Contemporary Concert nomination for PJ Harvey’s tour.
