Brisbane band Selfish Sons have just closed out their biggest tour to date. The What A Beautiful Waste Of Time tour, supporting their recently released EP of the same name, was a whirlwind affair. With some shows postponed thanks to Cyclone Alfred, the tour wasn’t all butterflies and daisies - but, as the band puts it, in the end it was “nothing but smiles, sweat, and alcohol-free beer (because we’re responsible professionals)."
So, to celebrate the success of their tour, the alt-rock trio - made up of Jordy Polbodetto, Finn Polbodetto, and Jonty Carlson - is taking us backstage (metaphorically), showing us their favourite photos from behind the scenes.
“nothing feels better than this - a class hometown show, especially in the triffid - we cut our teeth at that venue”
“me and the lads blue steeling”

“shot of Brisbane - best fans in the world”
“Jonty, Chloe, and I lock in and locking eyes together…how romantic?”
“this looks like I'm preparing for a 200m sprint”
“we finally put our tour manager/best friend Liam to the test with his first taste of pyro - he was a maniac behind the controls - jonty obviously loved it”
“sold out Sydney show - what a beautiful sight - i remember this night being especially hot”
“Chloe Dadd came on stage to rip a cover with us - no rehearsal, just off the cuff and chloe absolutely nailed it - special moment for us”
Selfish Sons’ latest EP, ‘What A Beautiful Waste Of Time’, is out now on all streaming services.
