Best record you stole from your folks' collection? The Beatles (White Album). Extra bang for your buck given it's a double album.

First record you bought? Bruce Springsteen — Born To Run. I was mad about Bruce and lost a toss of the coin to go and see him on the Born In The USA tour. Gutted I was.

Record you put on when you're really miserable? I like to put on a Tom Waits record as he is funny and never lets things get too serious in his songs. He's helped me through a few break-ups old Tom, gawdblesshim!

Record you put on when you bring someone home? As in bring someone home that I met at the pub? Hasn't happened for a few years mate, sorry!

Most surprising record in your collection? Jewish Wedding Dances. I found it in an op shop because I liked the artwork. The songs are awesome!

Last thing you bought/downloaded? Betty Davis. Badass funk/soul queen from the '70s. Some killer riffs and boogies.

When and where are your next gigs? Bald Faced Stag on 22 May (3pm).
