Personal Best Records: Cyclo Timik

By Staff Writer

Best record you stole from your folks’ collection? Edith Piaf, Ses Plus Belles Chansons. Always listened to a lot of Edith Piaf :)

First record you bought? Serge Gainsbourg, Love On The Beat. But my favourite Serge Gainsbourg album of all time is his concept album Histoire de Melody Nelson.

Record you put on when you’re really miserable? Alain Bashung, Fantaise Militaire.

Record you put on when you bring someone home? Les Négresses Vertes, Mlah or Chavela Vargas, La Llorona.

Most surprising record in your collection? Corsican polyphonic singing.

Last thing you bought/downloaded? Bjork's last album, Vulnicura.

When and where are your next gigs? The Spotted Mallard, Brunswick, 26 Feb, Flavours Festival, City Of Stonnington, 14 Mar, Renaissance Festival, Easter, 3–6 Apr
