Fresh Finds: Class Of 2025 – Aussie Acts To Add To Your Playlist

Spring Eats & Drinks

Spring has spruuuung! Why not celebrate with some food and drink? Here are a few events on in the next month that tickled our fancy.

Taste Orange @ Sydney — 10 & 11 Sep, Martin Place

The food and wine from the cooler climates of Orange are coming to Sydney's Martin Place. From 11.30am on 10 & 11 Sep, you can sample Agrestic Grocer's tasting plate of venison, pork belly with 'agrestic' preserve and Vietnamese greens, and more. Origin Chocolate and Old Mill Cafe are bringing some sweet treats to share, and there will also be the After Dark Orange Wine Bar from 5pm. Entry is free and there'll be something for all palates, plus entertainment from Orange performers.

Eat, Learn & Greet: Refugee-Hosted Cooking Class — 12 Oct, Auburn Centre For Community

The community of Auburn invites you to join a cooking session led by asylum seekers and refugees. Guests gather in groups of ten for an intimate experience, learning and helping with the preparation of Pakistani cuisine, which everyone then eats together. It's a great way to learn about the type of food you're making, and hear some of the refugees' stories.

LIankelly Laneway Progressive Dining Walk — 15 Oct, starting from Llankelly Place, Potts Point

As part of Village Food Adventures, go on a food tour that winds down the unique inner city laneways of Sydney. This guided tour offers some history of the food and area, and the restaurants you'll visit include Osaka Bar and Kim for Asian flavours, and Waterman's Lobster Co and The Roosevelt for European flavours.

Hunter Valley Uncorked Balmoral — 11 Oct, Balmoral Beach Esplanade, Mosman

Uncorked is now in its tenth year, featuring drops from Brokenwood Wines, Bimbadgen, Tyrrells and many more, alongside live music and entertainment and gourmet delights — try the picnic lunch plate for $15. It's a relaxing day to be had on the (fingers crossed) sunny NSW shores, from 11am to 5pm. To ensure all can enjoy the day of indulgence, there will also be free shuttle buses going from Mosman and Spit Junction to the event.
