No cause for alarm, but it looks like the TENSION crew are up to their old shenanigans

Say hello to The Grin Reapers, a new comedy project featuring some familiar rascally faces..

To get started, we're just gonna set the scene with our intro from the post about our Tension Movie Spotify Playlist article from a while back: For many of us, the Tension bodyboarding movies were a special time in our lives. A simpler time, when to watch some sick bodyboarding action you had to go and spend $30 on a VHS tape, not just chuck on YouTube or whatever the kids these days do. Tension was a genuine phenomenon back in the day (amongst the bodyboarding world anyway), taking CKY's rapscallion formula and applying it to our own poor, unsuspecting local shopping centres and well-to-do folk. The young-kids-being-idiots-and-getting-up-to-mischief mixed in with high performance bodyboarding action served creator Chris White bloody well across 10 films, and also made people like Ryan Hardy, Sean Virtue, Brad Hughes and Chad Jackson household names.

And while it's been long-dormant, a few cheeky Instagram posts from original creator Chris White (@chris.whitey) announcing the launch of The Grin Reapers (@grin_reapers) has us suspecting where in for some old school, dumb-as-hell laughs - remember this?

So far we've got little more than apparently a few main characters (Bad Dad Whitey, Friend Zone Stone, Brian Spokes), the above video, and most recently this bone-crunching skateboard "trick".

Whatever the hell is going on, we're into it.
