Newtown Festival Focus: K.I.M

Presumably you’ve been to the Newtown Festival before, what’s your favourite memory? I remember playing the Newtown Festival with my first band Prop about 20 years ago and it was an awesome set on a stunning day. Lots of fun.

Lots of suburbs put on festivals, but Newtown Festival is always particularly huge - why do you think that is? Newtown is pretty densely populated, especially with people who like to sink beers in the park.

Favourite spot at the festival to chill and watch the world go by? On the grass.

What is it about the Inner West that inspires so much creativity? Creativity is wherever people are. I’m not sure there is more creativity in the Inner West than other parts of Sydney.

Of all the food stalls on offer at the Festival, what do you reckon is one we should definitely check out and why? Not sure yet.

When and where are you performing on the day? I’m DJing at the end of Sunday.
