Beloved Naarm/ Melbourne-based rock group Fan Girl are known for their eclectic mix of intensity, colour and catchiness, with explosive live shows that have seen them support the likes of Catfish & The Bottlemen, Bird of Tokyo, Ali Barter and Ecca Vandal. Closing out 2022 strong, they unveil their dizzying new single with accompanying video; react (react), premiering here today before its official release tomorrow.
Featuring vocals from Ciarann Babbington (Bakers Eddy) and Evie Vlahiotis (Sunfruits), react (react) was recorded at Taste Police HQ (Fan Girl’s studio), the outfit sharing “We wrote this song during a particularly wintry week in our studio in Brunswick, Melbourne, channelling the energy and excitement of playing shows”. Released alongside an equally as fun music video shot in the infamous Revolver Nightclub and featuring the group performing, eating cereal, doing yoga and playing chess, it is a wholesome accompaniment showcasing the bands appreciation for each other and the music that unites them.
