Brother/sister relationships can be either oil and water or honey and milk — Murdena have proven to be the latter, following in the footsteps of the great sibling duos The Everly Brothers, The Carpenters, Malcolm and Angus Young of AC/DC and more. "Over the years we've managed to pick up three super talented bandmates, sell out a couple of EP launches, play some big festivals and do some interstate touring. We're currently gearing up to release our debut album," explains Hugh Maloney. Loraine is the second single off their debut album Freeway which is "due for release later this year". "When we recorded the single we decided to do it live. We had tracked songs in the past but found the end result a bit rigid so this time we were keen to capture something more organic."
It was recorded in "the forests of Paradise, Tasmania. Our good mate Bart Thomas invited us down to try out his log cabin studio. It was top notch. The best recording experience we've had.
