Sydney's MEGASTICK FANFARE and Brisbane's OH YE DENVER BIRDS have just announced a co-headline tour to show the nation why they're currently two of Australia's most promising emerging bands. They'll be roadtripping from OYDB's birthplace in the sunshiney Gold Coast, down our east coast, ending with their last hurrah in MSFF's home state in Wollongong.
megastick fanfare have just released their debut album 'grit aglow' receiving rave reviews and much critical acclaim. You know it's good when JMAG dubs it as "a sonic explosion that will leave you flabbergasted". It's hard to put them in a box - they're a pop band, who take influence from indie and psych-rock, making their own brand of well constructed, groove-filled tunes.
Oh Ye Denver Birds are buzzing with anticipation for their debut album, which is due out sometime next year. Don't let their age deter you (at 2, they're just toddlers!), the maturity in their songwriting has placed them near the top of the 'ones to watch' list. Throw them on your mixtape, so you can say you knew them way back when.
