How did you get into the butcher business? Munro's Quality Meats have been operating in Wilberforce since 1985. I started working in the shop at the age of 14 and quickly learnt the trade from my father. I am now co-owner of the shop and am proud to continue teaching the trade and carrying the family name.

If you had to choose, what would be your favourite cut of meat and why? My favourite cut of meat would be beef ribs, cooked low and slow, with a little smoke, served with coleslaw and potato salad. So flavoursome and tender.

What will make you the winner at the Butcher Wars? If I was to win I would attribute it to the knowledge passed on to me by the colleagues I have had during my years in the trade, having said that I look forward to meeting my fellow Butcher Wars finalists and taking the chance to learn from them as well.

Which bands/artists are you keen to catch at Meatstock? I am excited to see THE SNOWDROPPERS!!! I have been to their gigs before and they put on a great show. I have heard The Beards are good live too.

What else are you looking forward to at Meatstock? I think the Barber Wars will be interesting, it's something I have never seen before. I am also keen to see the various smokers that people use to cook the low and slow meats.
