Everybody loves the mid-late 90's era of The Simpsons; it was when the show was at its hilarious best and overflowing with clever, relatable, quotable jokes. One of the most underrated facets of that classic Simpsons era was the songwriting on the show, with countless catchy sing-a-longs from Mr Burns' See My Vest, to Kirk Van Houten's heartwrenching Can I Borrow A Feeling all getting stuck in your head for hours after the episode finished.

Today, Perth's busiest punk rocker, Dan Cribb - frontman of Dan Cribb and the Isolated, answered the prayers of many old-school Simpsons fans; announcing that he'll be releasing a Simpsons punk tribute album, aptly titled Worst Tribute Ever. The record will see Cribb revisit a bunch of classic Simpsons tunes; from Monorail to Who Needs The Kwik-E-Mart. The plan is to release a new cover from Worst Tribute Ever every month for the next year, starting with today's epic version of season three's Flaming Moe's. Cribb has announced that a special guest will appear on each of the 12 highly-anticipated covers, with Melbourne punk songstress Alex Lahey offering her vocals to today's supercharged rendition of Flaming Moe's.
