It’s official. Darcy Baylis loves reworking his Australian counterparts. This time around Baylis has directed his efforts at Oscar Key Sung’s Premonition. By ramping up the bpm, laying down a partnership of bubbly keys and featuring that ‘oh so’ familiar clack drum the piece has been gifted a serious burst of energy. It’s absolutely nothing like the original and that’s a bloody good thing! Although we’re in the midst of a freezing winter, Darcy’s tune will spur you to get outside and do something productive. As he explains to his fans “this will help you forget that it’s 15 degrees outside".
This release is timed to perfection with the young Melbournian set to release his Envelopes EP on DOWNTIME Records this July. Oscar Key Sung is a Melbourne dude himself and this remix bodes well for the reams of young electronic talent flowing out of Victoria in recent years.
