It's been a while since Chicago producer DIFFERENT SLEEP released some new music, but the wait is finally over - and so very worth it - with his latest single. Featuring some killer vocals courtesy of ANGELINA LUCERO, the pair offer up some left-field electronica in the form of 'Lost Profit'.
Downtempo and lush, Different Sleep lays down some absolutely transfixing beats whilst Lucero's vocals glide over the bed of glitchy, thumping sounds. It's intense, yet meditative, and is one of the more unique tracks we've heard this year. Sticking to his affinity for the slightly unconventional, Different Sleep has really outdone himself with this track.
The producer is gearing up for the release of his Last Nerve EP, said to be released in March on the Friends of Friends label (which also looks after a past collaborator of his, JEROME LOL). If this song is anything at all to go by, we are all in for a real treat when that comes out.
