After breaking a three year silence since their 2019 release Good Luck, with recent singles Saturdays and We’re Not In Orbit Yet… dropping a few months back alongside the news that we’d be blessed with a new album from Broken Bells, the duo of James Mercer (The Shins) and Brian Burton (Danger Mouse) today give us their next single, the majestically chilled sounds of Love On The Run. 

Fusing elements of 60s/70s soft rock and psychedelic influences, Love On The Run is a seven minute mini-epic that also touches on funk and soul elements with it’s subtle horns and boom-bap esque acoustic drums. 

Love On The Run comes ahead of the pair’s forthcoming third studio album, with INTO THE BLUE out October 7, their first album to feature samples alongside masterful instrumentation and what is sure to be an addictive melting pot of aforementioned sounds as well as aspects of trip hop, new wave and more.
