Norwegian one-man band Klangstof, signed to Mind of a Genius (the powerhouse label behind fellow buzzing names such as Gallant, ZHU and THEY.), was last heard through the visual for brilliant single Hostage which dropped back in May, but returns today with latest release We Are Your Receiver.
With rumours abounding that fans may be able to expect an album later in the year, We Are Your Receiver offers a cohesive, mature look at what to expect from Mind of a Genius' freshest talent. Touching on the steady increase of attention and love paid to social media likes, Klangstof is quoted as saying of the latest track's focus, “We Are Your Receiver is about leaving our offline selves behind. ‘Likes’ are like a very addictive drug to people nowadays and that scares the hell out of me.”
