I’ve always found the name Iggy Pop quite funny, mostly because even though he has pop in his name, he is actually one of the most well-known rock musicians ever.

IGGY POP was born James Newell Osterberg Jr, and worked closely with DAVID BOWIE in the mid-70s. IGGY POP is most famous for being the front man for IGGY POP & THE STOOGES, and has now announced an Australian Tour for 2013.

The legendary band will reach Australian shores in March 2013 for three headline shows across the country and with their reputation of astonishing live performances, you know it’s going to be good, IGGY even said so himself in June this year whilst talking to the New York Times, “What some people would call antics, I would just call a good show,” see.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010, IGGY & THE STOOGES have been creating punk music for decades and have influenced other amazing acts such as: THE SEX PISTOLS and KURT COBAIN. The band have already performed at our special Big Day Out festival and now will headline the Byron Bay Bluesfest in 2013 and perform headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. Unfortunately Brisbane and Perth are to go without on this tour, but hopefully IGGY & THE STOOGES will visit us again soon.
