Hideous Sun Demon ProfileFierce, deranged Fremantle four-piece Hideous Sun Demon have just unleashed their hotly-anticipated new album Industry Connections, and it's a delightfully scuzzy, rawkus journey into 60s psych and 70s garage-punk. Recorded on a remote island in WA's southwest, Industry Connections was mixed by Stuart Mackenzie (King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard) and its 12 furious tracks including previously-released singles Cul-De-Sac Vision, Oscillate and Bad Girl.
Jake from the band details the island antics the group had while recording Industry Connections: “We suffered from noise complaints from across the river…I remember seeing cops waving at us from the other side, which meant we had to stop live tracking and throw up mattresses for sound proofing. Also, a giant bush moth flew into the house while we were recording, and were continually being freaked out by possums running around in the roof. We were fortunate enough to get an island dweller named Ted to help us take our gear back over the river once we had finished. It was pissing down with rain, so cheers to Ted!”
