More The Sand Dollars More The Sand Dollars

Artist/Band: The Sand Dollars

Name: Yehudi Saling

When did you start making music and why? We formed at the end of 2013 but assumed our ultimate form welcoming in Xander on bass late last year. It was out of necessity, we had to add to the already amazing Melbourne scene

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Surfadelic, 007, fat beats

If you could support any band in the world - past or present - who would it be? Foals have to be up the top of the list. They're so progressive between albums but retain their amazing energy.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? I don't need a whole album, evil woman by ELO would be more than enough for the rest of my life.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? It gets pretty heavy when Baini doesn't like a tempo or chord progression, fists have flown and whiskeys have been spilled. Oh, one time a friend broke a foot in our mosh? That counts!

Why should people come and see your band? Because dance, fun, party, guitars, sounds, we have good mates, Baini dresses well, Xander is delicious always and tunes.

When and where for your next gig? The Holster Tour wraps up this Friday night for an all in hometown extravaganza at Ding Dong Lounge.
