Have You Heard: Sali Bracewell

Answered by: Sali Bracewell

When did you start making music and why? As a teenager suffering my first broken heart. It was in F#. I liked black keys. And boys.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Ethereal emotive folk ballads.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Jeff Buckley's album Grace. Though, hang on, I would eventually tire of this, he's too good for that. I revoke my bid. Spice Girls.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Turning 30, whip crackers, in a shed, on a farm, full moon, taking acid, singing Nina Simone.

Why should people come and see your band? It might make you cry.

When and where are your next gigs? I'm about to go into hibernation and shall emerge early 2018 in a castle in Wales, album in hand.
