How did you get together? A few of us had played together in bands when we were younger. As those bands finished, we sort of just decided to start this one, as to not die of boredom in Byron Bay.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Lazy, loud alternative rock.

If you could support any band in the world – past or present – who would it be? The Smashing Pumpkins on their Mellon Collie tour, or Paul Kelly when he used to do heroin.

You’re being sent into space, no iPod, you can bring one album – what would it be? I would probably take Doolittle by The Pixies, and just vibe out until my vessel crashed into the sun. It would be spectacular.

Greatest rock’n’roll moment of your career to date? We played Splendour In The Grass last year and got a rider consisting mostly of VB. Our old guitarist Alex drank quite a few of them, smoked some jazz cigarettes and passed out in our drummer’s mother’s car by 6pm.

Why should people come and see your band? Postblue will change your life, touch your soul on an existential and metaphysical level, while renewing your faith in solidarity.
