Unique and honest tunes
What’s your show called? Martha Marlow.
Briefly describe your show: Just honest music. Songs I have written which I sing and play on the guitar. My style is very much my own.
What was the inspiration behind your show? I write many songs – about all kinds of different things, about life. I love to perform them and get an intimate response from people. It’s so wonderful to play them, to paint a picture with them.
Why did you decide to do Fringe 2014? I have played at Fringe once before. It is such a wonderful project to be a part of. I was really thrilled to be asked to play this year. It’s the coolest gig in town!
What makes a good Fringe show? Good programming, with variety and a great chance to see shows that you wouldn’t normally see, some free stuff so everyone can join in, and new talent with promise and new ideas – this is how good ideas get out there.
What do you love about Fringe Festival besides all the shows? The Fringe gives Sydney such a buzz with all these wonderful performers and stuff to look at. I will catch whatever I can – there is so much to choose from! A play, definitely some music, and whatever else I can fit in. I will enjoy meeting up with some friends and wandering around feeling part of it all.
