Have You Heard: Lucy Roleff

When did you start making music and why? I've been playing music since I was five but started writing songs at about eight years old when my younger cousin Alice was doing it - it just seemed fun.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Chamber/Bedroom folk

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Hark! The Village Wait by Steeleye Span - I just never ever get sick of it and am always hearing interesting new things in the arrangements.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Not sure if it's very rock n' roll but years ago I was playing a song on stage and an audience member whipped out a harmonica and started playing along.

Why should people come and see your band? I'm sharing my new album This Paradise, which is out now on Lost & Lonesome Recording Co.

When and where for your next gig? Thursday 20th October at The Gasoline Pony. It's my first solo show in Sydney so i'm looking forward to it.
