When did you start making music and why? I've sung for as long as memory serves. At four I conducted the kindergarten orchestra, at nine played piano briefly, at 18 I taught myself guitar and at 20 I joined my first band. It's a calling.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Acoustic four-minute songs.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Kind Of Blue —  Miles Davis — hasn't let me down yet.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Playing with Leonard Cohen at Rod Laver Arena.

Why should people come and see your band? Because they might a) enjoy it, b) meet a new friend, c) feel inspired, d) all of the above.
