When did you start making music and why? I always wanted to make music, and when I first heard ska and reggae, I knew I had to do it myself.
Sum up your musical sound in four words? Ska, rocksteady, old, new.
If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? The Specials would keep me happy for a while. It captures everything about the 2-Tone movement and draws on all the Jamaican styles since the '60s - that's pretty rich. And it's clever too.
Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Supporting Selector, UB40, Bad Manners and The Beat are up there, and getting to know the people in them. These bands formed my musical views and were huge in the day. Playing on a Nigerian warship too (long story).
Why should people come and see your band? Ska and rocksteady - massive energy and super-danceable. Eight in the band, plus dancers, make a big show every time.
When and where are your next gigs? We're playing Ska & Scooter Nov 25 at Badlands Bar.
