When did you start making music and why? Age 13. Home sick from school I commandeered my bro's guitar, it was a natural fit.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Steely Dan's Aja. The apogee of analogue recording - street smart, sophisticated, wryly amusing and beaucoup deep.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? Sitting in a studio with headphones on listening to just drums, bass and David Bowie's voice while I recorded all the guitar parts for his 1999 single Survive (produced by Marius De Vries).

Why should people come and see you? I know where the big river is and me and my guitar will take you there.
