Have You Heard: Ben Ransom

When did you start making music and why? As soon as I could talk! Started playing guitar and writing in my first band when I was 16. Recorded our first demo the following year and since then I haven't stopped. Still loving it!

Sum up your musical sound in four words? Energetic country-infused rock.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? Just one..impossible! But I'll say the first album I ever bought with my own money. Jimmy Barnes — For The Working Class Man. It's jam-packed with great songs and takes me back to my roots.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? My final UK show after a long residency before heading back to Oz where a capacity crowd were swinging from the rafters. There was so much energy and appreciation in the room — it's a feeling I will never forget.

Why should people come and see your band? A wild, upbeat and energetic show. Main aim is to entertain. Expect to be out of your seats!
