"You'll hear Bach as never before."

Answered by: Satu Vanska

When did you start making music and why? I first saw my five-year-old cousin playing a violin when I was a really tiny tot. After that, I desperately started to beg for a violin.

Sum up your musical sound in four words? I am a violinist.

If you could only listen to one album forevermore, what would it be and why? A compilation of Bach's Passions, Mozart's Symphonies and some Blossom Dearie songs. The first one is the ants pants, the second makes life worth living and the third add some love into the mix.

Greatest rock'n'roll moment of your career to date? A gig in King Island playing classical music to people who have never heard a violin played live before. Also when we were filming The Reef and we played to a crowd of rowdy locals in a shearing shed in Gnaraloo.

Why should people come and see your band? You'll hear Bach as never before, played on a vibraphone, girlie-punk by Tognetti, Eastern-European minimalism. And... add some visual surprises.

When and where for your next gig? 5 Nov, Factory Theatre.
