Have You Been To: Inland Concert Series At Incinerator Gallery

Answered by: Alex Garsden - Co-director

Why should punters visit you? Our concerts are for all who are interested in exploratory and experimental music. We survey multiple approaches and disciplines, this concert in particular with four distinctly unique solo performances from local and international performers.

What's the history of the event? The Inland series is now in its fourth year, having hosted 35 concerts across five states and cities. This is the second concert at Incinerator Gallery, with one more later this year.

Any advice for first timers who want to visit the event? Come curious! These four soloists are incredible performers, and together form a far-reaching picture of music you haven't heard.

Who's performing this time around? Carolyn Connors - voice and accordion; Vahideh Eisaei - qanun (Iranian zither); Jon Rose - violin; David Watson - Highland bagpipes and electronics.

Do you have any plans for the event in the future? Yes! The series is ongoing, with concerts every month or so across Australia. We have three events over the next three months in Melbourne and Perth.

When and where for your next event? 14 Aug, Carlton Church Of All Nations. Concerts featuring multiple cellists, duelling subwoofers, tape machines, and more...
