Ahead of this weekend's Hardcore 2016 in Sydney, we had a quick chat to a handful of the acts getting ready to get br00tal.
Where is the hardcore scene headed? Seems like these days everyone is playing in multiple bands and booking incestual show line-ups with said bands. Hopefully some interesting new Australian hardcore records come out in the next few years.

Where is the hardcore scene headed? It seems a lot of bands are writing passionate, socially conscious and political music as of late, which I think is a really exciting regardless of the genre. People giving a shit is so important.
Which band/album got you into hardcore and why? Down To Nothing. Probably The Most. I saw their Sound & Fury 2010 footage and instantly knew I wanted to sing in a band. Music with a message is what attracted me.
Which band/album got you into hardcore and why? Parkway Drive, they started everything for me. That band introduced me to so many important bands when I was young and really started my love and passion for hardcore and the hardcore scene.
Most the most hardcore thing you've ever seen at a show? Watching the singer of Killswitch Engage jump from a 15-metre high speaker stack and send multiple people to the hospital at a festival.
Most the most hardcore thing you've ever seen at a show? The sense of community you feel when all your friends are in the same place.
