As it's been 20 years since The Breeders released their seminal record 'Last Splash', they'll be touring it around Australia this October!
Regardless of the members fleeting in and out, THE BREEDERS will always best be remembered as the four who appeared on the 1993 record Last Splash. Hitting its 20th year anniversary, we're very excited to announce that this particular album's lineup will be touring the seminal record around Australia this October!
What started as a side project for PIXIES bassist Kim Deal, she threw herself right into the workings of The Breeders, with sister Kelley Deal on board (who famously couldn't play guitar at the time). After their name became known and acknowledged, the sisters and bandmates who were committed to the group at the time were playing gigs, writing music and even at one point opening for NIRVANA.

As the follow up record to debut release Pod, The Breeders released their sophomore LP Last Splash which gained a mountain of commercial success. Two years later though, Kelley Deal found herself in a drug bust, which in turn left The Breeders on an indefinite break. Although they made a total of four albums and continued playing on and off with a forever changing lineup, The Breeders will always best be known for Last Splash as it is the pinnacle of their career.
With knowledge that the band will be here for the All Tomorrows Parties curated festival Release The Bats, the Last Splash lineup - that being Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Jim Macpherson and Josephine Wiggs - have announced that they'll be extended their Australian visit with a national tour in celebration of the 20 year old record!
On top of the excitement, they'll also be releasing a special deluxe edition of the album titled LSXX that will feature unreleased material, original demos and personal photos of the band, plus loads more!
If you've always dreamed of seeing the band play the record live from start to finish, it'd be wise to get yourself a ticket for this very special tour. They're on sale now!
