"Kasey Chambers found them playing in an empty pub one night and asked them to join her band."

In the lead up to the Byron Bay Bluesfest we spoke to some of the 200 artists who will be performing over the five day festival, which kicks off on 24 Mar. We found out five fun and wacky things about Grizzlee Train:

  1. Brandon Dodd and Josh Dufficy have been best friends since they were 13 years old.
  2. They grew up busking on the streets of the Central Coast and lying about their age so they could perform in pubs.
  3. Kasey Chambers found them playing in an empty pub one night and asked them to join her band — they've been performing with her for just over a year.
  4. They spend most of their time living out of their touring van 'Vincent Van-Go'.
  5. They had to travel 16 hours in one day to reach the finals for the Bluesfest Busking Competition last year — but they made it!
