It turns out our Falls Fremantle Foster Band don't mind getting pitted on the odd occasion..
This year's monster Falls Festival lineup dropped a few weeks ago, featuring the likes of Flume, Fleet Foxes, Run The Jewels, Angus & Julia Stone and more (get more lineup/ticket info HERE), and you can have a say in one local act that can join the lineup. Once again Falls are running the Foster A Band competition, where a few different media outlets pick an act we reckon should jump on the Falls Fremantle lineup, and this year we've selected percussive electronic duo FEELS.

When they're not releasing awesome music, running the Women Of Music Production Perth initiative or remixing Lorde, turns out Feels don't mind going for a paddle in WA's wave-drenched Indian Ocean. We hit 'em up for a bit of a guide to maximising your green room time, which you can read below along with a few happy snaps of Elise soul arching at a few different spots.
1. Paddle hard and commit to the wave, especially surfing a sandy devil (beach break). At this time, there is no time for open-relationships with other waves, emotionally and physically commit to your chosen wave.
2. Always surf a brightly coloured board. The board serves as a distraction to the other surfers, snatch all the bazzas while they are checking out that beautiful shred sled.
3. You need to travel to find a good bit of shade, don't whinge about driving long distances. When you find those tasty barrels you know it was worth not surfing that CBD slop.
4. 110% pig-dog stance on the back hand.
5. Learn and perfect the seven ways to throw a 'shaka' - the barrel won't count unless you throw one while getting pitted.
