What are you looking forward to most about Fairgrounds? Hanging out with mu mum! Haha, is that weird? I don't see my mum very often and it's been ages since we were at a gig together so I am really looking forward to hanging out with her and eating some great food, having a few beers and watching amazing live music!
Why is it cool that they're bringing such a unique festival to Berry? It's cool because I don't really think it's been done before. There are a lot of artists and musicians living tucked away on the South Coast and this may be the festival that gets them all out of their hiding places!
As a South Coast local, what has been your experience of Berry growing up? To be totally honest, I never actually spent that much time in Berry when I was growing up, unless there was a house party or something on… but this is probably not the arena to be discussing those parties, I might get someone in trouble!
Why should we catch your set at Fairgrounds? I've put together a totally new, one-off set just for Fairgrounds punters! I am playing my songs but I am trying out a stripped back set… think lots of swirling guitar, bass and vocal effects, big warm fuzzy soundscapes floating their way through the Berry landscape. Too much? Hah
What activities will you be getting into and what do you recommend people check out? I'm definitely keen to check out some of the food stalls, the oyster bar sounds amazing! Pair that with a glass of bubbles and a set from Father John Misty, could it get more magical?
What should punters do in Berry if they're trying to make a weekend of it? Definitely check out the markets on the Sunday, I haven't been for a number of years but I have picked up some really great vinyls for my collection in the past, there also used to be an amazing pikelets stall that is worth checking out.
How do you think Fairgrounds will change the culture of live music in Berry? Hopefully it will get people thinking about what other festivals could potentially be held in Berry in the future, it would be amazing if Fairgrounds became a yearly event.
