Position: Artist Manager, Label Owner and Executive Programmer of BIGSOUND.
How did you first become involved in the music business? I played drums and percussion in a few bands and I studied classical music at VCA/Melbourne Uni.
What's your area of expertise and what experience do you have? We manage Courtney Barnett, Fraser A. Gorman and Milwaukee Banks. Our label Barely Dressed is one year old. I've been BIGSOUND programmer for two years and I was GM of AIR for six years.
What topics will you be mostly talking about at Face The Music? We'll be talking about all the music that we like and what it's like being a responsible band manager in the 21st century.
What do you hope to personally take away from Face The Music? It'd be lovely to just hang out with some nice people and talk about music.
What's one question about the music industry you'd love to have the answer to? How do we send and receive vinyl cheaper? How do I convince more radio people to play my bands? What's Pitchfork's scoring algorithm? Can reach more people on Facebook without paying?
